This 19th century petticoat is very versatile for the whole century depending on the “class” of costume my client chooses to wear. Made with beautiful cotton with just a touch a polyester to help fight wrinkles after laundering.
The skirt is slightly gathered into a flat waistband in front. The back of the waistband has a functioning drawstring for my client to be able to choose where on her torso she wants the petticoat to sit. The continuous placket on the left side with a hook and bar at the waist and two tiny snaps.
What is a petticoat without of luscious ruffle and a few tucks? My client chose a beautiful 3/8″ light blue satin ribbon for a touch of color.
