Elizabeth wanted her wedding gown to be inspired by the character Carrie Bradshaw’s from the T.V.’s “Sex In the City”. By working together, we were able to design a beautiful gown that was 1oo% Elizabeth and one that Carrie would have loved.
Using information from our conversations and her measurements I created a pattern and then a mock-up gown for Elizabeth to offer me input and for me to check the fit.
We went shopping together for her fabric and found a lovely off white bridal satin and a gorgeous lace that was an overlay for the center back panels. The bodice of the dress had boning inside and along side the button holes for the ribbon lacing to prevent puckering and collapsing.
